Knowledge-based companies are exempt from paying insurance premiums on contracts.

The Permanent Working Group of the Knowledge-Based Technologies and Products Steering Council has approved the policy for insurance support for knowledge-based companies with the aim of reducing costs and supporting innovative activities.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Iranian Knowledge-Based Organizations Forum, based on this approved policy, knowledge-based companies were exempted from paying contract insurance premiums. The Permanent Working Group of the Knowledge-Based Technologies and Products Steering Council aims to implement this measure, which was taken based on a memorandum of understanding with the Social Security Organization and the Production Leap Law, to reduce costs and remove obstacles facing innovative companies.
Touraj Emraei, Deputy Director of Knowledge-Based Companies Development, announced the approval of a new policy for exempting knowledge-based companies from paying contract insurance premiums by the Permanent Working Group of the Knowledge-Based Technologies and Products Steering Council.
The exemption policy for knowledge-based companies has been developed based on the memorandum of understanding between the Presidential Vice-President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy and the Social Security Organization and Article 7 of the Knowledge-Based Production Leap Law.
This measure aims to reduce costs and facilitate the innovative activities of knowledge-based companies. According to this policy, knowledge-based companies whose contracting contracts are in knowledge-based fields and are approved by the Scientific Vice-President are exempted from paying insurance premium coefficients.
According to Emraei, after the Scientific Vice-President reviews and approves the application, the exemption letter is issued online and companies can submit a printed copy to the Social Security branches to receive an account reconciliation with a zero coefficient. This means that the Social Security Organization, upon receiving the list of insurance premiums for the employees of the central office, will be required to issue an account reconciliation without applying an additional coefficient.
The process of requesting the exemption policy for knowledge-based organizations from paying insurance premiums for contracts is carried out electronically through the knowledge-based system.
