A meeting was held to familiarize oneself with the structure, activities, and services of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce.

The Innovation Center of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce and the Iranian Knowledge-Based Organizations Forum held a seminar with the aim of familiarizing knowledge-based companies located in Tehran’s science and technology parks with the structure and mechanism of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce.

According to the Public Relations of the Iranian Knowledge-Based Organizations Forum, a meeting to familiarize knowledge-based companies with the structure, activities, and services of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce was held with the aim of familiarizing knowledge-based companies with the mechanism of the Innovation Center, the Deputy for Business and Membership of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, and how to obtain a business card. It was attended by Sahar Bankadarpour, Head of the Innovation Center of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Hooman Hajipour, Deputy for Business of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Hanieh Haghighi, Public Relations Manager of the Iranian Knowledge-Based Organizations Forum, and Marzieh Ghasemizadeh, Member Development Unit Expert of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce.

At the beginning of this meeting, a brief introduction of the Iranian Knowledge-Based Organizations Forum was made by the Public Relations of the Forum. Accordingly, the Iranian Knowledge-Based Organizations Forum, with 30 national and 9 provincial members, began its activities in 2012 under the supervision of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce and the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology.

This forum is an upstream organization that serves as a liaison between the Iranian Chamber of Commerce and the Vice Presidency with knowledge-based and innovative companies active in the fields of production and export, and aims to help create entrepreneurship opportunities and expand the market for knowledge-based products and services in the country.

In this webinar, it was announced to the companies present at the meeting that they had selected the organization related to their activities by reviewing 200 active national organizations so that they could more powerfully convey their voice to the authorities and stakeholders, and also benefit from the benefits and facilities provided for businesses by becoming members of these organizations.

Dr. Sahar Bankdarpour, another speaker at the virtual meeting to learn about the structure, activities, and services of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, stated that the chamber provides services to companies with 26,000 members and 60 delegations representing the private and public sectors. He added: The activities of this chamber are summarized in four sectors: agriculture, industry, mining, and commerce. In addition, according to the law, government departments can also consult with this chamber to develop regulations and standards.

Referring to the services of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce to companies, he stated: Providing consulting services in the areas of taxation, insurance, social security, and customs is part of this chamber’s services, while in the international sector, services are also provided in areas such as sending and receiving trade delegations.

Bankdarpour stated that the Tehran Chamber of Commerce will provide financial assistance for theses and doctoral dissertations, and continued: At the Innovation Center of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, members can also benefit from services such as research and development and organizational troubleshooting.

The head of the Chamber of Commerce Innovation Center considered holding meetings between start-up technology companies and large companies in order to develop start-up knowledge-based businesses as another service of the Innovation Center, and added: Also, through agreements made with the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, facilities have been considered for the development of knowledge-based companies’ businesses.

In addition, Engineer Hooman Hajipour, Deputy Director of Business Development of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, considered awareness and providing necessary information about the membership procedure and the structure of this chamber as essential, and said: The Tehran Chamber of Commerce is the oldest, most legal and comprehensive institution that has been providing services to companies for 140 years by accepting merchants, traders, manufacturers and service providers as members.

He also explained the structure of the Tehran Chamber’s Business Development Office and the services that this office provides to the chamber’s members, and made some points.

The Tehran Chamber of Commerce Membership Development Unit expert also mentioned in this meeting issues such as how to obtain a Tehran Chamber membership card and the benefits of receiving this membership card and provided the companies present at the meeting with solutions to obtain this membership card as quickly as possible.

At the end of this meeting, the questions and concerns of the companies present at this virtual meeting were answered by the members of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce who were present at this meeting.
